If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
Woodland Point is nice, and convenient to shopping, restaurants hospitals, etc.

I live in Franklin, which is more traditional. So, if I am living in the city, my favorites, personally, are the condos in Werthan Lofts. I love the uniqueness of each unit. And i like the general feeling of the downtown condos, with the Gulch being my favorite area.
Though I think I could really enjoy fixing up a house in 12 South too. I like walkable living spaces if I am living in the city.

According to MLS info, Boone Trace has a Playground, Walking Trails and Underground Utilities. If you are real serious about a Pool, I would suggest that you look in the Riverwalk community. Harpeth Valley is a great area, it's close to everything, parks, shopping, schools. Our office adm person had a townhome on McPherson, and she loved it, however she had to move back to Oregon to assist family members.

They absolutely can do it, but Ouch! This will need to be addressed by an attorney. You "might" be able to file a claim with your Title Insurance company if you have an Owner's Policy as (I think) this should have been known at the time of closing and pro-rated on the HUD1. However, this is technically not a title defect, more of an oversight, so it may not work.
If all else fails, this could be an issue for small-claims court. Of course, we are all going to recommend that you seek the guidance of counsel.... more
