Here is some helpful information about Home Inspections, along with recommendations for Home Inspectors we use regularly, both of whom cover Auburn....
No, as of right now there are no currently active listings in that complex. The most recent listed sale was in 2008. There were some units listed in 2009 but they either canceled or expired.... more
I can't verify the listing, but I can encourage you to be careful. Trulia, Zillow, Craigslist and other sites that allow anyone to post listings have been receiving fraudulent listings. The typical scam is a rent that's too low to believe and potential tenants are encouraged to send certified funds for the first months rent and deposit in the hopes of receiving keys in the mail. Don't believe it.
There are likely other variations, so consider using a licensed agent who can get you the latest rental listings quickly and help ensure their legitimacy.... more
This home is currently Pending Short sale. You could get an agent to prepare a back up offer or keep looking. This one went under contract in 2 days.
In order to be successful in this market you need to be ready to jump when the right home appears. This means having a great broker working for you, having your pre-approval in hand and doing as much research ahead of time as possible.
For safety questions, you are better doing some research yourself. There is the State Patrol site where you can check for registered sex offenders and others sites that track crime statistics.
Even in the "safest area" no one can guarantee anyone else won't have something unfortunate happen, but you are wise to try to find safer areas.... more
Did your landlord seek a new tenant right away? Something doesn't sound right about your situation. You may want to speak to the Tenant Union of Washington; I've linked to them below or seek an attorney’s advice.... more
Olexa, Trulia is a great place to view properties for sale! The best way to get a good house at a great price is to have a professional Realtor search for properties that meet your criteria and notify you the moment one is available. Regardless of what the media is saying, this is the best time in decades to purchase a home!!! There is an abundance of inventory, the prices are low, sellers are motivated, and the interest rates are unbelievable. If you are serious about buying, don't be afraid, just do it!!! I would be happy to recommend a professional Realtor to you.

I have only one comment about adding 1000 square footage to your existing home, be sure it's not an over improvement for your neighborhood. Being the Biggest home on the street may be that you will not get back what you paid in for that improvement, or such a small amount, it will not the best thing to do. Just check to see what is going on around you. Too many folks improve their homes, to a level that is so much more than what's around them, they can't sell their homes. Or not anywhere near what they feel they put in. It's always the next owner you need to think about, unless you plan on being there for such a long time that the neighbors improve to your level, that does not happen that often. Just be careful.
Best to you!... more
Listings do not automatically show up in Trulia as a result from being in your local MLS. Your Broker must submit it to Trulia. Your Broker has a few options available on how to do that, and those instructions are found on the Trulia site. Contact your Realtor and review what was included in your marketing plan, and discuss with him/her the possibility of adding your property to Trulia. The options of where to post avaialbe properties is growing, so by all means, discuss this with your agent as it pertains to the marketing program presented and entered into for your property.... more
FHA has guidelines and individual lenders have their own on top of them. Based on the FHA site (linked below) you may be considered while in Chapter 13 if you have paid satisfactorily with the courts written approval.
If you have completed chapter 13 this should also be the case, but the court would not be involved.
In order to find a lender willing to work with you, you'll need to meet with some and discuss your situation up front. Many Loan Officer's will know their own bank's guidelines and may be able to tell you if/when you may qualify.
Because your BK was due to illness, you may also receive some more understanding.
Best of luck.
CHAPTER 13 BANKRUPTCY
FHA will consider appoving a borrower who is still paying on a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy if those payments have been satisfactorily made and verified for a period of one year. The court trustee's written approval will also be needed in order to proceed with the loan. The borrower will have to give a full explanation of the bankruptcy with the loan application and must also have re-established good credit, qualify financially and have good job stability.... more
