Dear Fifi:

The specific Trulia question has been addressed below.

If you are firm in your desire to sell on your own (FSBO) then there are many FSBO oriented sites that can assist you.

Please remember that many FSBOs ultimately turn to a Realtor after many frustrating weeks/months on their own.

It takes many years to develop a brand and name on the Internet so that you are on the top pages of Google for specific search terms such as Bath Beach Real Estate for Sale etc. Firms such as Fillmore and others have spent large sums of money in technology and marketing to ensure that buyers see your home first.

Another factor to consider is that competent Realtors will pre-qualify their buyers so not to waste time with "lookers" it is much more difficult for FSBOs to do this.

Best of luck with your home sale.

Dear Fifi:

If you want to place an ad for your home being for sale on Trulia, you have two options. In order to put it on Trulia as an active listing you would have to have a licensed real estate agent do that for you. Homeowners cannot place "house for sale" ads on Trulia, only agents can do that. The second option you have would be to create a "blog" about your house being for sale on Trulia. However, this will not be seen by as many people because consumers looking to purchase homes usually do not search the blog section of Trulia.

If you decide you would like to have an agent help you, I would love to apply for that position. My office is located right in the area and I have been selling condos in the area for over 18 years full time. I have literally sold hundreds of condos over the years.

If I can be of further assistance please let me know and good luck!

Sincerely,

If looking to sell your property, consider working with an agent of your own--if you are asking how to post your home here on Trulia, as a for sale by owner--Trulia does not allow the post, you can however try blogging about your property; if and when you do list with an agent, he/she can post it for you just ask, or consider any flat fee realty comapny that feeds into Trulia--if looking to buy another home before selling your current property, visit with any qualified loan officer, after reviewing your overall financials, credit, debt, etc., he/she can best advise to the possibility--or if you are simply looking buy and using cash, do consider working with your own agent...

In order to list you home here on Trulia needs to be posted via a Realtor HOWEVER you can publish a blog.

Keep in mind majority of all FSBO"s ended up where property owner contacts a Realtor to list are you willing to waste the time for a FSBO have it sold.

Almost 100% of all home buyers turn to a Realtor represent them locate a home for sale. Due to entire inventory of homes they can select from via MLS, and reduce any scams country wide.

FSBO you need be familiar with state law OR you can be sued by a buyer
