As a Realtor and a landlord when a potential renter has a low credit score I usually require a letter from their previous landlord stating that the rent was paid in a timely manner. I hope this helps

With your rental history and scores you should not have any trouble getting into a rental. In order to purchase you will probably have to wait aproximately 3 years from the discharge date to be considered for a loan but it really depends on what you do credit wise over the next few years.
