"Tell the Truth!" I have been in this business in some form or another for over 10 years. I started out working with builders and developers and eventually got my Real Estate License in 2004 in the state of Florida. I transferred my license to Virginia in 2006 and have been practicing here ever since. I deal with a lot of distressed property, short sales, and foreclosures. I offer several qualities and skills that you will not find in your typical real estate agent. This is because I also own and operate a construction management company that consults with investors and homebuyers that want to purchase property that needs to rehabilitated and don't have the time, knowledge, or the resources to complete the project on their own. This helps me in the business today because it is becoming more and more evident that the market is not improving, and more and more distressed property is becoming available for sale because the owners do not want to spend their money repairing property that is "underwater". Most agents will tell you that repairs can be made at a certain cost and make a deal look very appealing to a client that doesn't understand cost. My clients come to me and stick with me as their agent because I don't tell them what they want to hear. If I am looking at a project with my client and they don't like what I am telling them it's because I am telling them the truth. This keeps my clients out of trouble in the present and in the future.
